I believe my project is complete!

This evening, at 7:38 PM, I believe that my partner and I have completed the project, which is due tomorrow. We have successfully created an engaging Prezi presentation to show to its viewer the effects of World War II on African-Americans. I must say that including the three concepts that we chose was a bit hard. There wasn't really any objectives that related to my topic, but my partner and I were able to find a way. I hope my project is good enough.


Here are the three objectives that my project will reflect on:
● Assess the responses of the United States and other nations to the violation of human rights that occurred during the Holocaust and other genocides.                     
● Explain why women, African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, and other minority groups often expressed a strong sense of nationalism despite the discrimination they experienced in the military and workforce as well as potential civil rights violations by the government.               
● Explain how World War II and the Holocaust led to the creation of international organizations (i.e., the United Nations) to protect human rights, and describe the subsequent impact of these organizations.

Word Clouds

So my partner Alexandria Davenport, Lexie, has introduced to me something so interesting and wondrous, word clouds. We used all, well the relevant, words on my document of resources and information to create a word cloud. We have decided to pin-point some of those words and will zoom-in on them on the Prezi presentation when working on the project. We've enforced words on the word cloud such as "minorities", "wwii", "Jim Crow", etc. We were even able to put the word cloud into a shape, to which we put it into a shape of a fist. Pretty clever, huh? Black power..heh heh...
Anyway, more progress is being made and we are on our way to success. My partner and I will be ready to present our project to the class on Monday morning, I am sure of it.

Progress..

Alright, progress is being made. I have been doing more research on the topic to try and get this show on the road. I have learned so much about African-Americans during World War II, and I must say that African-Americans receive less credit that what they should...Anyway, I am positive that this project will be completed in no time. I have found many reliable resources, even watched a documentary about African-Americans during the war and so much more. My partner and I are going to be starting our Prezi presentation soon to see how we're going to finally put this thing together, Hooray for progress!

PROCRASTINATION!

Okay, not necessarily. I am a Junior in high school, so things do come up. It's not like I am the first high school student to have ever done it. I am pretty sure that may of my fellow classmates are in the same predicament as me right now. Although, I am not lost for this project and i do have some ideas for it. Research has been made, it's just other classes have overwhelmed me and having to keep coming to this blog is a bit of a hassle. I am not one to always be online, so it's been a challenge for me to come and check this blog. But, it's being done.....I should really get to work! Procrastination will not capture me again...well it might, but I will be sure to try and get back on track to get this project done. If only my partner and I were able to work on this project together not just in class. But it's ok. On Prezi, there is a function where she and I can work on the presentation together online and see each other's work. It's pretty cool, and a life saver! I advise that for those who are doing a Prezi presentation to take advantage of the function and get this project done! Well here I go to work on my project.

Today, we began to work on the project, but transitioned to creating this blog to track our progress. Our next objective that my partner and I will make is probably going to be figuring out how we are going to put this project together.
